(Oshkosh, WI) – State Sen. Glenn Grothman, Republican candidate for Congress, earned the endorsement of Wisconsin’s top pro-family organization Wisconsin Family Action Political Action Committee today. Grothman (R – Campbellsport) has pledged to reform the country’s welfare system that discourages marriage and traditional families when he’s elected to Congress.
Wisconsin Family Action Director Julaine Appling released the following statement on their endorsement of candidates for the August 12 primary:
“WFA PAC is very pleased to endorse these candidates. They have each shown that they understand that to lead Wisconsin properly, to ensure our state’s future, our best natural resource – our families – must be strengthened and preserved. These candidates are committed to doing that by working to, among other things, reduce government regulation, improve the business climate in order to encourage job creation, ensure families can make their own health-care choices, protect human life, and strengthen the institution of marriage.”
Grothman added the following statement: “I’ve made strengthening Wisconsin families a focus of mine in the legislature, and the trouble I see in our country’s families is why I’m running for Congress. We need to reform welfare, promote traditional families, and get people back to work, and my record on those issues is second to none in this race. I’ll bring that experience to get the job done in Congress.”
Grothman has also earned the endorsement of former Republican Presidential Candidate Rick Santorum and his pro-family Patriot Voices group. Grothman also earned a 100% pro-life rating from Pro-Life Wisconsin.
Grothman is a Republican candidate for Wisconsin’s 6th Congressional District. He currently represents the 20th Senate District in the Wisconsin State Senate. The 6th Congressional District includes the counties of Ozaukee, Sheboygan, Fond du Lac, Winnebago, Dodge, Green Lake, Manitowoc, Marquette, Columbia, Waushara, and Milwaukee.
