(Campbellsport, WI) – State Senator and Republican candidate for Congress Glenn Grothman submitted to the state’s election board 2,000 nomination signatures covering the eleven counties of the 6th Congressional District today. Pending review and approval of the signatures, Grothman will officially qualify to be represented on the ballot in the August 12 Republican Primary Election.
Grothman released the following statement upon the submission of the signatures:
“The support for my campaign has been absolutely incredible everywhere I go. I’m honored that over 2,400 voters from every county in the district have chosen me as the true conservative leader they want fighting for their values in Washington.
“I want to especially thank the many wonderful volunteers that have stuffed my mailbox with nomination signatures over the past few weeks. It’s because of their efforts that I waited until today to turn in my signatures, and even now I’m sure signatures will continue to roll in. Their efforts have helped propel my campaign to the front of the pack, and I look forward to staying there through election day.”
