Statement on court decision on voter ID

(Campbellsport, WI) – State Senator Glenn Grothman issued the following statement regarding the court decision on Wisconsin's voter ID law:

“I am very disappointed that Judge Adelman has struck down Wisconsin’s voter ID law, though I’m not entirely surprised. Judge Adelman is a known activist judge, and I expected him to use flawed logic and a twisted misunderstanding of the U.S. Constitution to strike down a law that he personally disagrees with.

“Nonetheless, the integrity of our elections is at stake, and Wisconsin needs a voter ID law in place as soon as possible. I'm looking forward to Gov. Walker calling an extraordinary session for the legislature to pass a new law without delay.”

Glenn Grothman represents the 20th Senate District in the Wisconsin State Senate.  He is a candidate for the 6th Congressional District, which includes the counties of Ozaukee, Sheboygan, Fond du Lac, Winnebago, Dodge, Green Lake, Manitowoc, Marquette, Columbia, Waushara, and Milwaukee.  Click here to view a map of the 6th Congressional District.
